Privacy policy
Effective 25 October 2026. Say When is made by David Paterni, publishing as Maprang Health.
The short version
Your medicines, your schedule and every dose you mark stay on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Say When has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't collect, see or sell anything about you.
What stays on your devices
- Your medicines, when to take them, and the doses you mark as taken or skipped.
- Your appointments and the notes you add.
- Your iPhone and Apple Watch send these to each other directly, through Apple's link between paired devices. They don't go to us or to any server.
- Reminders are scheduled on your devices. No server sends them.
Apple Health
If you allow it, Say When reads the medicines you keep in Apple Health, so you don't have to type them again. You choose which medicines it can read. Say When doesn't write to Apple Health, never sends Health data off your devices, and never uses it for advertising.
The camera
If you allow it, Say When reads the printed label on a pill bottle through your camera. The text is read on your phone. Say When doesn't take or keep a photo.
The one thing that leaves your phone
When Say When reads a label, it checks the medicine's name against RxNorm, a free list of drug names from the US National Library of Medicine. Only the medicine's name is sent, nothing about you. Like any website, the Library's server sees your internet address when it answers. Its own privacy policy is at nlm.nih.gov.
Deleting your data
Delete Say When from your iPhone and Apple Watch, and everything it saved is deleted with it. We hold no copy.
Children
Say When isn't made for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If Say When ever needs to send anything new off your devices, the app will ask you first.
